Fodey_2018

Sarah Fodey (She/Her)

An accomplished Producer, Writer, and Director, Sarah Fodey’s 25-year career in motion storytelling has spanned feature films, scripted series, factual entertainment, and documentary production. Sarah has created content for networks including CBC, Global, APTN, Comedy, Bravo!, TVO, Unis, and TFO. In 2019, she delivered Sex, Sin & 69, a feature-length documentary on the partial decriminalization of homosexuality in Canada. In 2018, Sarah wrote and directed the feature-length documentary The Fruit Machine (CSA-nominated Best Documentary), and produced the Telefilm Canada french language film, Noël en boîte. Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Queen’s University and an honours diploma in the Television Broadcasting program at Algonquin College. Sarah is a member of the Writers Guild of Canada.
Barakat

Amanda Barakat (She/Her)

Amanda Barakat is a highly-respected Producer, Project Manager, and Director with 13 years of motion storytelling expertise. A master of organization, this fluently bilingual industry leader excels at shepherding projects from creative ideation through final delivery. Assembling and leading creative and business teams on complex and challenging projects is where Amanda shines. From directing in some of Canada’s most remote and beautiful natural landscapes for the iconic Hinterland Who’s Who broadcast campaigns, to managing feature documentaries and feature films, Amanda excels in the art of variety and diversity. A honours graduate in Television Broadcasting from Algonquin College, Amanda currently calls Toronto, Ontario home where she manages SandBay’s slate of projects.

MEG MOORE (SHE/HER)

An accountant with over 12 years of public accounting and bookkeeping experience, Meg Moore has worked in a variety of different industries. An avid film enthusiast, she originally had her sights set on working in the film industry and was accepted into the film program at Carleton University. While she eventually switched focuses to earn a Bachelor of Arts in English, she never lost her passion for film. She attended Algonquin College, earning a diploma from the Professional Accounting program. After many years working for an accounting firm focusing on medical and dentistry professions, Meg followed her passion for film which led to SandBay Entertainment. Working behind the scenes, Meg contributes to SandBay through extensive and highly detailed bookkeeping and is a fundamental part of SandBay’s accounting and business affairs. Though it has been a long and winding road to get here, Meg is a welcome addition to the SandBay team.

Han Nguyen (She/Her)

Since entering the motion picture industry 20 years ago, Han Nguyen has produced and directed in every screen-based medium from feature films, shorts, and scripted series to documentaries, music videos, and branded content. Han has worked with networks including CBC, YTV, TFO, APTN, TVO, Amazon Studios, Unis, and Lifetime. Han produced the award-winning documentary, The Fruit Machine, for TVO; Noël en boîte, a Telefilm feature film; and two seasons of Qanurli for APTN, an interprovincial/territorial coproduction between SandBay Entertainment and Qanukiaq Studios. Han is multilingual and produces and directs in both English and French. She sat on the board for Algonquin College’s Scriptwriting Program; was a member of Women in Communications; and is an active member of WIFT-Toronto and Women Business Enterprises. Han is the President of SandBay Entertainment.

Kerry Antonello (She/Her)

Kerry Antonello first collaborated with Sarah Fodey and Han Nguyen in the early 2000’s on the sets of Global’s renovation series Rona Dream Home, and CBC’s period scripted comedy, Getting Along Famously. From creative development through post-production, on funding applications and tax credits, Kerry brings knowledge and experience in all stages of the production process. With exemplary leadership, organization and communication skills, Kerry has been a trusted member of production teams for feature films, scripted and unscripted television, animated series, and live news programming. She has collaborated on the delivery of programming for broadcasters including HGTV, The Family Channel, Comedy Central, APTN, and TVOntario. She is a graduate of Algonquin College’s Dramatic Scriptwriting program and Algonquin’s Television Broadcasting program.
